Born and raised in Ohio, I graduated with a BS degree in Nursing from the University of Arizona. I later married a Marine officer, practiced nursing for nearly 20 years and have had the opportunity to live in many different areas in this great country of ours. After relocating to Amelia Island, I knew I had found a special place I wanted to call home from now on.

I obtained my Florida Real Estate license in 1986 and during my 23 years of experience in the Real Estate Industry here in Fernandina Beach in Amelia Island, I have helped hundreds of families buy and sell their primary homes, second homes, condominiums, and investment and commercial properties and have found some wonderful relationships along the way. I have held many positions of responsibility in the real estate industry and community including: President of Amelia Island/Greater Nassau County Assn of Realtors, Chairman of Professional Standards, Chairman of Grievance committee, Director of Florida Association of Realtors, active member of numerous council and societies, member Chamber of Commerce and participant in Habitat for Humanity.

After being an agent for several different local real estate companies, franchises and resorts I opened RE/MAX Professional Group. I was tired of either the rigid or self-serving policies of many of the companies I worked for and wanted to be associated with full-time professional agents whose main concern was providing their clients quality service with honesty and integrity that met the client’s needs and not the demands of a rigid traditional real estate company. RE/MAX Professional Group is now the leading company in our market place. I am extremely proud of our associates and our company, which has gone from obscurity to #1 market share in just 5 short years. I believe we are successful because of the attitude of our people and our desire to do the best job possible for each and every client.

Even though real estate is 24/7, I do find time to enjoy this beautiful island. On my time off, you may well find me on the golf course (I never do play as much as I’d like) or down at the beach with my daughter and her three children. I am blessed with twin granddaughters (age 13) and a grandson (age 18) that live in the area. My daughter has recently gained her real estate license and currently works with me offering her years of experience in mortgage lending and real estate closing expertise.  I have another daughter and 2 grandsons that live in East Tennessee.
